This post is simply a list of the ten commandments. I will be referring to them in later posts and I think it would be a good thing to have to refer back to – or even to just read as a reminder.

1. Do not place (worship) other gods above God.
2. Do not worship idols.
3. God’s name must not be spoken in vain (“omg”).
4. The sabbath (7th day) must be kept holy.
5. Always honour your parents.
6. Do not kill another.
7. Do not commit adultery.
8. Do not steal.
9. Do not lie.
10. Do not be jealous of others.

There have been some edits to the ten commandments over the years, including things like “don’t say bad words” and “pray every day”. As much as they are good additions to consider in life, they are not the ones that God lays out for us in Exodus.
